Also, maybe only happens to me, but it seems like the cymbals and the drum set get dusty very quick, could just be me. (Note: cymbals only work/connect to the "ROCK BAND 2" drum kit). Overall, they are very good for the price i got the three (29), and the main reason I got the Rock Band 2 Drum set. It sucks cuz my brother is left handed and he cant enjoy the cymbals.
At first it is confusing, but after about 4 songs, it should be pretty easy. The good part is that they are fun to play with. Took me about 20 mins, because i was confused where the cymbals clamped onto the set. And they are louder than the pads.
Doesnt make a big problem, but when they fall in the middle of a song, its annoying, and it could hurt someone if they happen to be in front of the drum set. Assembly was pretty easy, no tools needed. (Clamps onto the black part of the pads part, not the legs. The instructions werent clear on that). Pretty good cymbals.
It is fun, but i find myself not using them on every song because i dont like how it sounds when you hit them. Also, every once in a while I have to tighten the screws because they become loose, and if i dont the cymbals fall down. Only happens when i dont tighten for like 10 or so songs, so not a big deal, but still. And also, sad to say it doesnt really work for left handed people. Now for the not soo good part. The drum set looks very cool with the cymbals. When in lefty mode, the Crash is the red pad, but the drum set doesnt have a connection for the red pad, even though it comes with a red screw top.
And once connected, the height is adjustable no problem, since the cymbals move with the pads. They sound like hard plastic. (I think this is on Harmonix for making the drum set without the red connection, nothing with the cymbals). Amazon made it easy to buy, and shipped very well.
The triple cymbal kit for Rockband 2 on the Wii platform is disappointing. Also, can't hear the cymbal strikes in the music when hitting them instead of the drums. The cymbals don't sit high enough above the drums. Constantly hitting the drum stick tips on the underside of the cymbals when drumming. Also, there is no separate cymbal track in the game, so it's awkward to hit a cymbal in lieu of a drum. Not happy with my purchase.
if you hit them on top like you are supposed to, they make a very loud click. After about 2 months, I had pretty much crushed the yellow pad on the Rock Band 2 drum set.
I was right. I got this accessory for Rock Band 2 on wii thinking it would make game drumming more like real drumming.
hard enough to decapitate your drum sticks and still not break them. For the price, these work really well.
You can bang on them hard. So I got the Rock Band Drum Silencers and the cymbals, and now not only are the drums quieter, but the yellow pad works without having to get a replacement set.one note is that these are really loud.
I hit them on the edge and it isn't so bad.I recommend these.
This was also for my 17 year old son and he and his friends love it.Thanks.
It was like I expect it. More freedom of movement, easier to follow some bits for begginers. Recommended.
